Company Background

Intech-Power Ltd is an Engineering and Design Company servicing clients in the far North of Scotland.

In April 2002 Intech-Power Ltd opened its new offices at Scrabster harbour. Scrabster was regarded as a strategic location to set up business due to its close proximity to the Dounreay site as well as the areas in Caithness being proposed for windfarms.

It is also envisaged that the port will attract Oil & Gas related business due to the expansion of its harbour facilities and the development of the oilfields to the west of Shetland.

Intech-Power Ltd is also in an excellent position to carry out subcontract work for the Primary Contractors engaged in the major decommissioning contracts at the Dounreay site, enabling them to improve profitability through the use of local skills and disciplines while not incurring travel and subsistence costs.

The majority of Intech-Power Ltd staff lives in Caithness, and the company has a policy of recruiting and training local resources wherever possible or practicable, thus ensuring a highly skilled workforce for the future.

Intech-Power Ltd is a privately owned and self-financed company. It has no parent company or group.
